Water Walker?
How do you think the disciples responded when Peter started to get out of the boat? How did Peter get back to the boat? Could it be that when Christ reached down and picked him up, that the two of them walked back together? What an incredible lesson it must have been to all of them about being willing to step out in faith for God. To see firsthand that as long as we keep our eyes on Him, and not the problems around us, we can walk on water. Too often people miss walking on water because they keep looking around at the problems, not believing that God can overcome any obstacles. So they stay in the safety of their boat and watch others walk on water. What keeps you from getting out of the safety of your “boat?” Peer pressure? Fear of failing? Waiting for everyone else to move? Not willing to pay the price? Although Peter did not make it all the way, he did step out, and he did, with God’s help, make it back. In what area is God calling out to you to step out by faith? Highlight a phrase that will remind you to get out of your boat.
