Today’s Reading | Acts 28
A Focussed Life
What one word could you use to describe the Apostle Paul? How about the word focused? No matter what circumstances Paul faced, it seemed that he always viewed them as opportunities to share his faith with others. It seems as though he saw everything in his life as an opportunity to influence. He was shipwrecked, so he began a ministry on the island of Malta. He arrived in Rome and began to share with those around him what God had done in his life. While under house arrest, he spent from “morning till evening” sharing with people from the Scriptures. Why? He was focused! The book of Acts ends with a verse that sums up his life. What a great ending to a great book! Underline it in your Bible. Could the words of verse 31 be said of you? Do you boldly and without hindrance share the gospel? How about the word focused? Could it be used to describe your life? What would need to change in your life for someone to be able to use these words about you? What keeps distracting you from serving Christ with your whole heart? Today would be a great day to begin living a “focused” life. Are you ready?
