Today’s Reading | Revelation 15
Who had Been Victorious
Chapter fifteen is an interlude before the most awesome of God’s judgments against the world, which has yet to begin. In chapter sixteen we will begin reading about the seven bowl judgments, which are even worse than what you have read so far. In the midst of learning about what will be taking place in Heaven during this time, there is something important to keep in mind. Did you see it? It is found in verse two. As John looked across the sea, he saw a group of people. Note how he described them. They were a group of people who were victorious over the beast. It could easily feel as if Satan will be victorious over everyone during the tribulation. There still will be those, however, who will stand for God and be victorious over Satan. In fact, there will even be some who will still trust Christ as we read earlier. As we journey ahead in this book and as the bowl judgements unfold, keep in mind that there will always be a group of people resisting Satan and standing for God. If that is true in the future, how much more ought we in today’s world stand firm for Christ and live victorious in spite of the influence and attacks of Satan.
