Key to Success
Why was Paul’s ministry so successful? What can we learn from him in this passage that will insure success in our ministries? Paul did not fail for some important reasons in spite of experiencing incredible obstacles. First, he had the right motives (vs3-6). He was not performing to please people. He served God because he desired to please God, who had given him a message to proclaim. Second, he used the right method (vs7-9). He not only communicated the truth of God’s Word, but he also opened his life up to those he taught. He didn’t just preach to them, he was involved in their lives and they in his. Third, he had the right message (vs10-12). He taught them to live worthy of God. At times, his message was to encourage, comfort, or urge, but always with the goal of enabling them to walk worthy before God. Are you successfully influencing your world for Christ? Take some time today and examine yourself in these three areas. What are your motives? What method are you using to reach people? What is the central message you present? our lives. Can they see the demonstration of the Spirit’s power in your life? How can you take advantage of those opportunities?
