Today’s Reading | John 2
Exciting or Boring?
How many days have passed since these disciples began following Christ? Circle the days in your Bible. What has happened in these few, short days? What an incredible journey it must have been for these disciples who were with Christ. They saw other disciples called. They saw Jesus give specific details about someone He had never seen before. They saw Him turn water into wine. They ended their first week with Christ by clearing out the temple. They were probably overwhelmed. They must have been filled with anticipation and excitement about following Christ. Could it be as exciting for us walking with God? What a thrill to watch God do great things every day — answering prayer, giving you comfort, or providing opportunities to be a witness. If your walk with God is not exciting, it indicates something about you, not God. He wants to fill each day of our lives with excitement. Make a list of those things you have noticed He has done in your life this past week. If that list is small, talk to someone about how you can become a person who enjoys all the Christian life has to offer. You will not regret it!
Observation: What do I see?
Interpretation: What does it mean?
Application: How does it apply to me?
Implementation: What do I do?
