Today’s Reading | Romans 10
How Will They Hear?
Since God chooses those who are going to be saved, does that mean we do not have to do our part to witness to people? You might conclude so if you failed to read this chapter. While it is true that those who are to be saved will become saved because of what God does, we still must do our part to share the message of Christ with them. We find in these verses two principles that confirm our responsibility. First, in verse eleven we see that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. There is no difference between Jew or Gentile. Salvation is available to everyone and we must demonstrate that by sharing the message of the gospel with all people. Second, verses fourteen and fifteen clearly state that people will only respond to the message if they first hear it. The means by which God has chosen to make the message known is through His children. You and I have the awesome responsibility of taking the message to people so that God can enable them to respond. These verses should motivate us to spread the gospel to every corner of the world. People who are waiting to hear the message. Will you be the one to tell them?
