What thoughts do you suppose went through the minds of the men who brought the paralytic to Christ and found when they arrived they could not get in? When they realized the situation, they did not give up, but found another way to get the man to Jesus. They were so convinced that Jesus could heal him and so committed to helping this man that they didn’t give up even when it got tough. It is obvious that these men not only believed that Jesus could heal their friend, but were willing to go the extra mile to make it happen. Christ was so impressed with their actions that He healed the paralytic because of the faith of the men on the roof, not the man He healed (vs5). What a thrill to know that likewise, my faith can impact those around me. God does respond to others because of my faith. What a great opportunity this gives us. What actions, similar to what these men did, have you recently taken on behalf of someone else? For whom has God been burdening your heart, letting you know that you need to take steps to help him/her? Circle the words “their faith” in your Bible to remind you of the potential of reaching out.

“Their” Faith

Today’s Questions

Say What?

Name someone whom you have a great burden for?

So What?

What specifically would you like to see God do in his/her life?

Now What?

What can you do to be used of God to see it happen?

Then What?

What commitment can you make about what you have written above?
