Today’s Reading
Mark 5:21-43
[bible passage=”Mark 5:21-43″ version=”esv”]Take it to God
Have you ever been faced with a problem that just never seems to go away? If so, you can find great encouragement from today’s reading. In this section of Scripture, we read of a woman who had been struggling with a problem for a very long time. In fact, she had been struggling with it for twelve years and, although she had tried everything to correct it, she found no relief from her suffering. Why do you think she went to Christ? Do you think she had tried everything else, and nothing had worked? All too often we treat our problems this same way. We struggle and struggle trying to correct the problem and never seem to be able to fix it. As a last resort, we take it to God. Then we wonder why we waited so long to give it to Him. What problem are you now facing that you need to turn over to God – an illness? your friends? your future? your family? your career? It is awesome to finally find relief when we give it to Christ! Write down some problems you are facing which you need to give to Christ. Pray, asking God to take them from you. Then, take that sheet of paper and throw it away to remind yourself that they are God’s problems now.
