Mark 6:1-29[bible passage=”Mark 6:1-29″ version=”esv”]
What specific instructions did Jesus give to the twelve in today’s reading? Why did He give those particular instructions to them? Jesus Christ had a goal in mind for the disciples. He knew what they would face and what they would need to do in order to be successful. According to the passage, it would seem that they went out and followed Christ’s instruction, and as a result, many people were helped. How would the results have been different if they had not obeyed the instructions? What if the disciples thought Christ’s instructions were stupid and didn’t make sense? What if they thought the instructions were unnecessary? Had they not responded to Christ’s instructions as they did, they would not have been successful. How well do you follow and obey instructions from your Chain of Command? Maybe the reason you are struggling in certain areas is that you are not following instructions. Today, follow the instructions that God allows to come into your life with an attitude that He would approve of. He has a purpose for everything He does. You will be amazed with the results!
